Morbid Truth: Morbid truth
09/02/12 || gk
Sweden’s Morbid Truth play some Entombed inspired death metal. The band’s got some decent riffs and the short songs help in keeping things entertaining. There’s a slight Desultory touch to a couple of songs too and an impressive lead guitar section on “Distorted Views.” The band is highly derivative at this point and too often the riffs leave me with a feeling that I’ve heard this song before but its still decent mindless fun. With a few more original ideas Morbid Truth could be a band to keep an eye on but as of now this is a highly disposable but fun while it lasts debut EP.
5/10: And desperate for a dose of originality.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
